I am thankful for the avenue of prayer that God gave us as a way of communication. We can talk to our Father to praise Him, thank Him and ask for our needs. We do not have a distant God but one right here with us always. We have the ability and freedom to talk to Him anytime and anywhere! I am thankful I can talk to Him as a father, friend, helper, healer, sustainer or anything I need Him to be because Christ made the ultimate sacrifice to forgive our sins so we can have a close relationship with our Creator!

Not only am I thankful that I can go to God in prayer any time I want to make myself feel better, but I am thankful that He hears my prayers. And He hears the prayers of others on my behalf. I believe in the power of prayer. I am thankful that God hears and answers. Whether he answers the way I want is a different story but I am thankful he listens and takes my wants into account.

I am thankful that I can directly tell God how thankful I am for everything he has done for me and given to me. I know all good gifts come from God and I am glad I can try to express to Him anytime and all the time how blessed I feel because of Him.

Lastly, I am thankful that I can talk to God to just tell Him (or try to) how awesome He is. Words truly cannot describe our God but, I am thankful that I can personally praise Him anyway.
