Thankful Thursday: Friends

Thankful Thursday: Friends

It’s time for another Thankful Thursday. Today (as every day) I am thankful for…

Friends
I am thankful that God put my friends in my life. And yes I mean all of them. I am thankful that He didn’t mean for us to go through this life alone. He puts people in our life as we embark on our journey for different reasons and to fill different goals. Sometimes, they are put there for our benefit. Sometimes, for us to benefit them. Sometimes it is both. Sometimes, someone is placed in your life to open your eyes to something bigger or to challenge what you believe and how you think. I am thankful for all of these situations and people.

I am thankful for my friends growing up in Georgia who were always playing outside with me and spending nights watching countless Disney movies.

I am thankful for my Youth Group friends from Buford church of Christ who always kept me on the right track, listened to my problems and supported me through a lot.

I am thankful for my Harding friends who saw me through college. Who were there for impromptu study breaks involving (again) Disney movies and dance parties. And for many planned and unplanned adventures.

I am thankful for my Young Professional friends from Buford church of Christ for helping me keep my priorities straight and keeping me sane while planning my wedding and being away from my fiance.

I am thankful for my friends here in Ohio who have taken me in and truly make me feel like I have lived here all my life. I am excited for the uplifting Monthly Sing tonight!

Last, but not least, I am thankful for my husband. He in my best friend and has been there through most of the above. He has never truly left my side. He supports me in every walk of life and through every decision. He is my biggest fan and will do anything in his power to help me and make me happy.
