It’s Thankful Thursday again. Today I am thankful for…
A Roof Over My Head!
Sometimes I take this for granted. I think a lot of people do. The reality is, whether we believe it or not, there are a lot of people out there who don’t get to experience this luxury. This has been on my mind a lot lately because the temperatures here in Columbus, Ohio have gotten down to the negatives this week! (Or at least in the single digits which “feel like” negatives). I have never experienced negative degree weather in my life. Ever. I have never been skiing or stayed in a log cabin in the mountains. Nope. I have experienced snow, of course, but with the temperatures in like the 20’s, not negatives. It’s been kind of a shocker. Anyway, all this to say I am very very grateful for our apartment, our heat, and our warm bed. I pray for those who don’t have these “necessities” as most of us would call them. I want to do what I can to help these people. Pearson and I have volunteered at a homeless shelter a couple times with the Buckeyes for Christ. I am certainly glad that the homeless in Columbus do have a place to go, but that is a story for another post.
Thanks for reading!
