Reasons Why I Love… Twitter

I created a Twitter account during my last semester of college. Everybody seemed to have one so I decided to see what it was all about. I wasn’t too crazy about it until I graduated and got a real desk job. When I was board at work and had already seen everything on Facebook, I would look at Twitter. Pretty soon, it became my favorite source of news about celebrities, movies, shows and everything else in pop culture. Then when I got married, moved out, and started living real grown up life, I stopped looking at it all the time.

Since I started getting more serious about blogging, I have picked it up again and I must say. I love it!

I love twitter because…
  1. I can talk to other bloggers faster and easier than commenting on blogs
  2. It’s easier to keep up with people than on Facebook because Facebook gets so cluttered
  3. It’s fun to see celebrities like John Stamos and Lori Loughin poke fun at each other

  4. I can chat with celebrities when they do Twitter parties or live chats while their show is on
  5. I get first hand, personal announcements like when Ginnifer Goodwin and Josh Dallas announced that they were expecting

  6. You can tweet about needing new music and find a new great band

  7. You can tweet about spilling your hot chocolate and having a really rough day and get a free gift card for Starbucks from an insurance company {this seriously happened to a friend of mine}
See isn’t it great?? Anyway, I wouldn’t say I’m a Twitter addict, but I definitely like it a lot. Well, I like it more than other forms of social media anyway.
What is your favorite form of social media?
