My Letters to the World {Christmas Edition}

My Letters to the World {Christmas Edition}

Well folks, we’ve almost made it! Just 2 days till Christmas! Woohoo! I hope you are spending lots of wonderful time with family and friends enjoying the season. I know I sure am. (I wrote this post over the weekend and scheduled it for today- isn’t it cool how that works?) Anyway, I will be focusing on family this week, so besides the couple posts I have already written for Thursday and Friday, you won’t be seeing much of me. I’m talking to bloggers here. If I don’t comment on your posts, reply to your comments or tweet you back this week, it’s because I’m spending time with my family. And you should too!

So anyway, I thought I would leave you with a fun post. I have seen a lot of bloggers doing this open letter thing, but the first one I saw was done by the one and only Hayley @ A Beautiful Exchange and I loved it!

Dear Family,
I love you. I am sorry I don’t say that enough. I am so glad I get to spend Christmas with you this week! (All of you)

Dear Crazy Black Friday Shoppers,
Really? You are going to trample less equipped humans to the point of serious injury or death just to get that great deal on the latest fad? Wasn’t yesterday (Thanksgiving) all about being thankful for what you have and spending time with family and friends? So just one day later you throw all that out the window?

Dear Christmas,
I’m sorry I rush you all year and then when December finally gets here I want time to slow way down! You are only a few days away which is bittersweet because I don’t want you to be over!

Dear Work
YOU WON’T BE SEEING ANY OF ME ALL WEEK!!! Booya!

Dear Haters (namely haters of Phil Robertson),
Just be cool. I mean it’s the Holidays. Show the love, man. He shows love even to people he disagrees with.
Dear TSO (Trans-Siberian Orchestra for you non-fans),
Thank you for being awesome. We have seen your “Lost Christmas Eve” concert 3 years in a row now and it never gets old.

Dear Santa,
I want a new wardrobe. That may sound shallow, and materialistic of me (and it may go against some things I said up there ^), but it is all I want. My clothes are all pretty old and out of style. Plus I am just tired of them. There are so many cute new styles out there and I can’t buy them all. That’s where you come in! And P.S. I have been good all year, I promise!

Who would you like to write a letter to this holiday season and what would you say?
Thanks for reading and have a Merry Christmas!
