Thankful Thursday: Brother

Thankful Thursday: Brother

So yesterday was National Siblings Day (if you didn’t know, you don’t spend any time on social media sites). This got me thinking about how truly blessed I am by my brother. So today for Thankful Thursday, I am thankful for..

I honestly don’t even know where to begin.
Tyler, you make my life brighter. You have been there with me and for me through a lot. You were always my partner in crime, my best friend, confidant, and my annoying little brother. I wouldn’t trade any of that for anything in the world. You know how to have fun and goof off and you have a very contagious smile. I envy your ability to make any situation funny and enjoyable.

When you were born I was so proud to be your older sister because you were so cute and you were MY brother. Later I was proud of you because you were a smart kid with a great heart. Then I was proud of your running and other accomplishments. Now I am proud of you because you have become a wonderful young man with the desire to do what God wants you to do. You love your major and are good at it. You do everything to God’s glory.

But this post isn’t really supposed to be about all that. This is a Thankful Thursday post. I am thankful for you because…

  • You believe in me and what I can do. You always have, even when I didn’t.
  • When I was a mean older sister, you still loved me.
  • You really know make me laugh. We have countless inside jokes and memories. (The Potters! Camp, L2L, Christmas every year, Baseball and Softball games, making fun of Mom and Dad in general :P, musicals and singing together)
  • You keep in touch even though I am old and married and 700 miles away.
  • You still find it important to tell me about your life. I appreciate that so much.
  • You inspire me to be a better person just by your example. Isn’t it supposed to be the older sibling who does that?

The list goes on and on but if I kept going, this post would get way too long.
I love you, Tyty, with all my heart! I miss you so much every single day.
