The other day I saw this super cute wreath on Pinterest. When I clicked on the pin, it took me to an Etsy shop where I could buy the wreath. However, the original pinner put a URL in the description to her blog post where she explained how to make the wreath yourself. She used burlap, folding each piece and gluing them on to create the fluffy wreath. The more I thought about it, the more I realized that this could be a much easier project.

This super easy DIY Santa Claus wreath will take you no time to make. Just wrap a feather boa around a wreath form and add som embelishments!

I went to Hobby Lobby and found a wreath form. I took that wreath form to the dress up section and found a red feather boa! When I wrapped the boa around the wreath form, it only went about half way so I grabbed two boas. Then I went to the ribbon section and got some black tulle (but you might want to get a thicker black ribbon) and some gold sequin ribbon for the belt. Lastly, I bought some wooden letters to paint and spell out “Ho Ho Ho.”

So to summarize, here’s what you need:

Now here’s what you do:

To make the simple Santa Claus wreath, first, I wrapped the boa around the wreath form using thumb tacks to keep it in place.

Next, I thumb tacked the second boa to to the wreath. When I got them where I wanted them, I hot glued them down.

Then, I took the back tulle, glued the end to one side of the wreath, covering the place where the two boas came together, and I started wrapping it around the wreath, adding more hot glue every once in a while. Because it was see-through, mesh, tulle, I had to wrap a bunch to get the dark black that I wanted for the belt. That’s why I mentioned that you might want to use a thicker ribbon.

Once I had the belt, I cut and glued pieces of the gold sequin ribbon to make the buckle.

Lastly, I hot glued the “Ho Ho Ho” letters, which I had painted gold, to the wreath and hung it on my door.
