Quality Time – Marriage & Relationship Goals {link up}

Quality Time – Marriage & Relationship Goals {link up}

At the beginning of the year, I decided I wanted to learn a lot about my husband throughout the year. One thing I’ve learned is that his primary love language is Quality Time. I’ve also learned that he spends a lot of time in the lab and he needs to get away when he can and do things to get his mind off of his work. That’s where my relationship goal for this month comes in.

I’ve established the weekly date night goal several times and we never quite meet it. This month, I’m serious about it. There will be rules.
Number One: We must be out of the house. We can have “date nights” at home, but this month, those don’t count as the date for that week.
Number Two: Just dinner doesn’t count unless it’s a really special or fancy dinner. If we go fast food or somewhere boring that we go a lot, there has to be another part to the date as well.

Number Three: No cell phones. Period. I don’t want to even bring them with us but if we must for directions or something, they should be left in the car.

Number Four: I’ll blog about the dates. Except I just realized, if I’m gonna blog, I need pictures. And I need my phone for that. Hmm… Maybe I’m bring my camera. But my phone actually takes better pictures. Maybe I’ll bring my phone but keep it in Airplane mode. Yep. That’s what I’ll do!

Anyway, I really think these rules will help make the date nights intentional and help us be creative and not stay in a rut. We have to think outside the box a little bit.
