Reasons Why I Love… Marriage

I have been married to the one and only, wonderful and amazing Pearson Maugeri for a year and a half today! It has been the best year and a half of my life and I wouldn’t trade a single moment of it for anything. I thought I would share why I love marriage so much with all you lovely readers.
I love marriage because…
  1. Every night is like a sleepover with my best friend.
  2. I now have 2 wonderful families to spend holidays with, learn lessons from, and who love me.
  3. I have a wonderful, trustworthy, Godly man to make life’s hard decisions with. We make big decisions about us and our future together, but I can also consult him about anything because I trust him with my life.
  4. I love having someone around who knows me better than anyone else. He can tell when I’m upset or happy before I even say a word.
  5. I always have someone to cuddle with
  6. I feel safe with him. I love that I know he will always protect me.
  7. I have someone who loves me no matter what. He loves my faults. He loves my emotions. He loves my past, my insecurities and my interests.
  8. I love fulfilling the role of my husband’s “helper”. 18 Then the Lord God said, “It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper fit for him.” -Genesis 2:18
  9. I get to spend a whole lot of time with the man I love doing whatever we want because we are grownups!
  10. I somehow seem to love my husband more and more every day and I can’t wait to see where that puts us in the future. “Love is often the fruit of marriage.” -Moliere
  11. Being married boosts my confidence. I haven’t don’t always think highly of myself, but my husband constantly compliments me and lifts me up.
  12. I have a wonderful husband to be so proud of. I love being able to follow behind him and say “he’s mine!”
What do you love about marriage? Did I miss anything?
