Surf’s Up Vox Box

Surf’s Up Vox Box

When influenster contacted me about this Surfs Up VoxBox I thought “What am I going to do with a Surfs Up Voxbox? I don’t live near the ocean. I certainly don’t surf. And I don’t even hang out at the pool that much. Why would they choose me for this particular box?” But when I got it in the mail, I was pleasantly surprised! It was all stuff I could use!
If you aren’t familiar with influenster, let me introduce you! All you have to do is go to influenster.com, sign up, and link up your social media. Influenster will give you an impact score based on how much influence you have in the social media world. You do not have to have a blog to do this! Then based on your social media impact and a few questionnaires you fill out about yourself, you might qualify for a voxbox or some other goodies! Then they send you free stuff and you review it on your social media accounts. It’s great! Anyway, here’s what I thought of all the stuff in this box…

Not Your Mother’s Beach Babe texturizing shampoo and conditioner
I just wasn’t that impresses with this stuff. I was expecting it to give my hair beachy waves but I really didn’t see a difference from my regular shampoo. I have seen great reviews about it on the internet though so it’s probably just because my hair is so short and I can’t really get good beachy waves anyway. Would I buy it again? Probably not. But I might look at some of their other products and maybe buy something I would use on my hair.

Jamba Juice at home smoothie kit
I loved my smoothie!! I got a free “All Natural Mango-a-go-go” one and $1 off a “Fruit & Vegis Blue Fusion.” The hubby loved the mango. I had the Blue Fusion and it was delicious! I could actually taste the vegis and they blended with the fruit flavors beautifully! I love how healthy they are and how easy! All you do is dump the contents of the bag in the blender, add some apple juice and blend! Will I buy them again? Probably!

Hawaiian Tropic Silk Hydration after sun lotion
This stuff is awesome!!! This after sun formula has ribbons of lotion and aloe throughout the bottle so that when you put it on your burnt sun-kissed skin, the aloe eases the pain and the lotion moisturizes! And the smell is wonderful! I put it on my knees several times after they got burned pretty bad at the Cincinnati reds game several weeks ago, but I also just put it all over after being in the sun and it just soothes the skin. It’s hard to explain, but it’s pretty great. Would I buy it again? Absolutely! And I plan on it!

Sinful Colors nail polish
When I got this bottle of nail polish I thought “Oh great. It’s purple.” My favorite color is purple and people know that and I guess influenster knows that. But I have tons of purple nail polish. And sometimes purple nail polish is just too dark for me anyway. I like bright colors on my nails. But when I put this stuff on, I LOVED the color! Really only one coat was plenty which is a huge deal because putting more than one coat on means double the dry time and ain’t nobody got time for that! Also, this stayed on my nails without chipping at all for at least a week. Granted, I did use a really good clear top coat, but this did better than other polishes I’ve used with that same top coat. Would I buy it again? Most likely!

First Aid Shot Therapy or F.A.S.T. Relief
I found this to be a little weird. I’ve never used liquid pain relief before and frankly, I just don’t see the point. I used it when I had a pretty bad sinus headache and it did work really fast! I assume this is because it’s liquid and doesn’t need time to dissolve like a pill does. But I use so much pain medicine that I carry around bottles of 2 different types of pain killers in my purse at all times. I can’t justify carrying these around because this bottle is one dose. And the price per dose just doesn’t add up to me either. Will I buy it again? No.
