This is why I am not a fashion blogger… I keep clothes for way too long. For example, my shoes in these pictures. Also, I hate shopping for clothes and accessories. Actually, I kind of don’t like shopping for anything. The dress above was a a free sample, the watch was a gift from the hubby, the earrings were free when I hosted a Premier Jewelry party, and the shoes and necklace I only bought as souvenirs while traveling.
Actually, I shouldn’t say that I hate shopping. I could walk around from store to store looking at fun things and hanging out with a bunch of friends all day. What I don’t like is trying on the clothes and then buying them. There are a couple reasons for this. The first is of course that I don’t like spending money on things I don’t really need, but the bigger reason is because I can’t ever find anything modest in stores anymore. Basically, the only dresses I can find these days that are long enough for my taste are maxi dresses. And usually even those are too low up top or too tight. It’s very frustrating and I was on the verge of giving up dress shopping altogether…
