Personal Goals for December

Personal Goals for December

You guys, I failed at almost all of my goals last month. For some reason, I just seem to lose all motivation at the end of the year. I used to think it was only when I was in school and the semester was almost over. But it still happens. Anyway, I’m sharing those failures today. I’m also sharing my goals for December but honestly, they aren’t going to be too crazy. I’ll save the crazy goals for a fresh start in the new year!

Spiritual:
Well I didn’t finish reading the book of Acts with the Good Morning Girls like I wanted. I did pretty terrible, actually. Anyone have any suggestions for staying motivated with Bible reading? This month I’m going to pause Acts for the moment and go through the Good Morning Girls’ Advent Study. It started on Monday and I’m loving it so far!

Physical:
Well, I only consistently followed the Blogilates work out calendar for about the first week of November. And I didn’t record anything on My Fitness Pal. I lost all motivation and I’m not even really sure how. Maybe because it’s winter and I can wear frumpy clothes? But really, it’s gotten out of hand.

But I’m still not going to go to crazy with physical goals this month. I’ll save that for January. I do want to be mindful of what I eat though. So I’ll try again to record everything on My Fitness Pal. And while I’m not going to force myself to work out every day, I will try to get out of the house and get moving. It’s not that cold here yet and it hasn’t snowed so I should take advantage of that before the weather shuts me up for a couple months!

Mental:
I actually did finish One Thousand Gifts by Ann Voskamp and it was amazing! I didn’t finish Black Widow: Forever Red by Margaret Stohl because Pearson and I started reading it together on the road for our Thanksgiving road trip and now we can only read it when we can read it together.

Anyway, for December, I want to finish Black Widow: Forever Red and read Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me by Mindy Kaling and Oasis by Dima Zales. I changed that last one from The Princess Bride because I was given the opportunity to read Oasis before it’s released in exchange for an honest review and I was only given to the end of the year to get that done.

Blog Goals:
I’m actually planning to take a little break from blogging this month (I’ll share more about that in a few days). But that just means there won’t be many new posts on this space. There will still be A LOT going on behind the scenes. I don’t want to tell you everything I have planned for the blog going into 2016, but I will say that I want to finish both of Helene’s courses this month: Quit Your Job to Blog and Instagram for Success.

What goals have you set for yourself this month? Let me know in the comments!
Thanks for reading!
