Monthly Goals for November {2017}

Monthly Goals for November {2017}

It’s November. Can we just let that sink in for a sec? I know everybody says it at the beginning of every month, but where the heck is this year going? October was awesome but it really got away from me. I can’t be that mad though because I’m super excited for the rest of this year!

Pearson defends his dissertation two weeks from tomorrow! Then out good friend (the best man in our wedding) will come visit that weekend. Then we’ll spend Thanksgiving with Pearson’s extended family in south Georgia.

I’ll save our December plans for next month’s goals post but just know I’m super excited for everything going on!

Anyway, shall we get to the point of the post? My goals. I didn’t do so well in October but that’s okay because it was a great month! Pearson and I spent a lot of time together watching scary movies and hanging out now that he’s not working near as much. So some of my goals got put on the back burner. Also we had to deal with a car accident and some other little stuff that came up. So lets just see how I did.

October:

Word of the Year (confidence):

  • I feel like most of my other goals for this month will help with my confidence: Working out, eating well, getting organized for our trip etc. So maybe from now on my goal for confidence should be “Meet at least 50% of my other goals”? haha

Spiritual:

Physical:

  • Do a Beachbody on Demand workout at least 3X per week
  • Walk on my lunch break at least 3X per week

Mental:

Marriage:

  • Work through Sheila’s Boost Your Libido eCourse
  • Go on one date per week.
    • We really had more like 3 or 4 dates per week. Our quality time was awesome this month!
  • Get away for a weekend together.

Blog:

  • Post at least one good-quality, content-based blog post (lists, roundups, and sponsored posts don’t count) every week
  • Promote the upcoming HOLIDAY BUNDLE (aff) that I have some content in!

Home:

  • Light at least one candle every day to make it feel cozy

30×30:

  • Do a French lesson on DuoLingo 3X per week

Preparing for graduation/vacation/move:

  • Book our Disney Trip
  • Buy 2 of the gifts I’m giving Pearson for graduation
  • Contact people we will be visiting on our road trip
  • Start packing things in boxes that we don’t need before our move
  • List Pearson’s car to be sold
    • Fun fact: we didn’t actually list his car. He was in an accident and it was totalled so we got reimbursed from the insurance company in the amount of the value of the car. So now we don’t have to worry about selling it. It was a blessing in disguise
  • Some other things on our to-do lists that I don’t want to disclose here
  • Bonus:
    • We sold all the furniture in our guest bedroom and are now using that room to store packed boxes
    • We got a new mattress from Tomorrow Sleep (for free for review on the blog) and moved our old mattress into the guest room for the one guest we will have before we move.
So there you go. I didn’t even accomplish half of my goals. BUT! We did get a lot done in the “Preparing for graduation/vacation/move” category. So I’m calling this month a win!
